    Which disadvantages must you keep in mind?
    • Although it is premium quality, the Mavic 2 Zoom is a bit too much on the pricey end. We also thought the drone could use more internal memory. Its memory just doesn't match its price point. The fact that the drone omits the DCI aspect ratio is also very unimpressive.

    This is one of the best high-end portable and advanced camera drone on the market. The Mavic 2 features a 12MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor camera mounted on a 3-axis gimbal stabilizer which allows you to point it in any direction.   • What stands out?
    • The DJI air 2S is a marvel with lots of advanced features for a mid-range drone. The most impressive feature for us was the drone’s service ceiling of 5000m above sea level. We also like how easy it is to follow or circle a subject with the drone owing to its incredible focus track features like Spotlight 2.0, Active Track 4.0 and Point of Interest 3.0.
    What cons did we manage to find?
    • We liked everything on this drone but we thought it could use a few tweaks. First off, we realized the drone can be very unsteady in windy conditions, maybe because of its lightweight build. Also, we didn't like the fixed aperture lens and the 1080p recording in Quick and MasterShots could be better.

    This is the ultimate mid-range consumer drone. It packs a punch with a plethora of advanced features. As an adventurous pilot, you will particularly love the MasterShots function which is an evolution of QuickShots. It offers the best shots at any location with a simple tap. You will also love the quality of images and videos thanks to the unit’s 10-bit Blog-M color profile that can record up to a billion colors while retaining the original details.

    The DJI air 2S stands out with its ability to perceive the environment in 4 different directions. It can sense obstacles up, down, forward, and backward in the most complex scenarios at high speeds. The advanced OcuSync 3.0 image transmission technology also contributes to the ultra-smooth, clear and reliable image feed offered by the drone. All these features make the drone a suitable choice for recreational pilots looking to get superior quality images.

  • What do we love it for?
    • We found the omnidirectional obstacle sensing on this drone very impressive. We also liked that you can triple your total flight session if you get the Fly more combo kit and you can control it remotely from a distance as far as 5000meters. Moreover, the drone has an incredibly lightweight and compact yet sturdy build that you can easily carry around for recreational and professional use.
    What were we disappointed with?
    • We found the 8GB storage space on the Mavic 2 pro to be a bummer. The drone has stellar quality with plenty of high-end features, it could use more space. Also, it doesn’t come with DCI format support which may be a turn off for some users. We also thought its price point makes it undeserving of the ‘entry-level’ tag it’s been given.

    The Mavic 2 Pro is one of the best portable camera drones out there. It comes with lots of advanced features that make it highly flexible, and able to capture beautiful stills with very high and precise details. The drone features a Hasselblad camera mounted on a 3-axis gimbal stabilizer that captures 4KUHD footage at 30 frames per second. It also has a self-heating battery that allows you ample flight time of 31 minutes.

    The Mavic 2 Pro is ideal for beginners or professionals looking for a high-quality entry-level drone. Its camera features a 1-inch CMOS sensor that allows you to capture still images at a whopping 5.6K resolution size. Its intelligent flight battery, when combined with the Fly More Combo kit can give you triple of the 31 minutes flight session allowing you to perfect your craft and capture the best aerial images.

  • What makes it special?
    • We were really impressed by the drones 5-directional obstacle sensing. Very few drones within its range have such capabilities. Besides its stereo vision sensors at the front and back, there are infrared sensors on both sides and its belly that are up to 23-feet sensitive. Its 30 minute flight time also gives it a solid one-up.
    What cons did we find?
    • The only issue we had with the DJI Phantom 4 Pro is constant crushing as it has compatibility issues with both iOS and Android. This is dangerous for the drone because if the app crashes when flying the drone, you will be left with no choice but to fly the drone back with the remote. This can be a challenge for novices who only learn to fly from the screen.

    The Phantom 4 Pro is a serious contender when it comes to aerial photography. The flying beast features a powerful 3-axis gimbal camera with a 20MP and 1-inch CMOS sensor. The camera can capture stills and record videos at 4K resolution 60 frames every second. Its design is a bit different from other popular DJI drones as it comes in a futuristic design with a smooth hull that goes soft on bystanders.

    The Phantom 4 Pro is a top preference for many because it is super easy to fly. Its controls are very straightforward and you can use your smartphone or tablet to gain additional features like intelligent flight modes. Further, the drone’s obstacle avoidance technology stands out with diverse and highly-effective sensors. The stereo vision sensors are located in the forward and backward directions and can detect obstacles up to 98ft.

    • Although the drone has 360 degrees obstacle avoidance capability, it can only avoid obstacle on its flight path when flying at low speed. If it detects an obstacle at least 20 meters away, its remote control will trigger an alert, and it won't move forward. This may not be the case if you are flying at top speed.

The drone boasts a 360 degrees obstacle avoidance system that uses a laser to scan for obstacles up to 20 meters away in its flight path.
